Rice

Curd Rice




Ingredients:
Rice                                          1 small bowl
Water                                      2-3 small bowl
Curd                                        5-6 tbs
Curry leaves (kadipatta)        2-3
Red chili                                  2-3
Mustard (rai)                          ½ tbs
Cumin (Jeera)                         ½ tbs
Hing (Asafoetida )                  ¼ tbs
Salt                                          ½ tbs
Oil                                            1-2 tbs



Method:
Wash rice with water.
Add 2-3 small bowl of water and cook it in pressure cooker.
Take 2-3 whistles of pressure cooker.
Preparation for tadaka:
Heat oil in pan.
Add mustered and cumin in it.
As they starts crackling add curry leaves(kadipatta) and hing.
After a few seconds add red chili.
Preparation of rice:
Add this tadaka in rice.
Add curd and salt in rice.
Mix it well and serve it.

Egg Biryani



Ingredients:
Basmati Rice                                          3 small bowl
Boiled eggs                                            6-7
Onion                                                     2 medium size
Tomato                                                  2 medium size
Ginger garlic paste                               1 tbs
Red chili                                                2 tbs
Turmeric powder                                  1/2 tbs
Coriander powder(dhana powder)       2 tbs
Biryani masala                                     1 tbs
Cumin powder(Jeera powder)              1/2 tbs
Garam masala                                     1/2tbs
Oil                                                        2-3 tbs
Butter                                                  2-3 tbs
Salt                                                     1 and 1/2 tbs
Water


Method:
Preparation for rice:
Wash basmati rice with water.
Add 6 small bowl of water and cook it in micro wave for 15 min.
To remove steam from rice spread rice in plate and keep it aside.

Gravy preparation:
Cut onion into slices.
Cut tomato in small pieces(finely chopped).
Now heat oil in a pan.
Add onion and fry it until it become light brown.
Add tomato,ginger garlic paste and mix it well.
Cook this for 5 min.
Add red chili, turmeric powder,coriander powder,cumin powder,biryani masala,garam masala.
Mix it well.
Add 1 and half small bowl of water.
Cook it for 5 min.
Cut eggs into two pieces.
Add it into gravy and cook it for 5 min.
Make sure that your gravy should become thick.
If its not, cook it for some more time.
Then switch off the gas.


Layer preparation:
Now take a Aluminum Pot or non-stick pot.(Don't use steel pot)
Put little butter in the bottom of the pot and make a first layer of rice.
Now make second layer of gravy and put some butter on it.
Make alternate layers like this till you have put in all the rice and egg gravy.
Now cover with a silver foil and then put a tight lid so that the pot must become air tight.
Cook for 10-12 minutes on low gas.
